DATA RIGHTS REQUEST

CALIFORNIA (CCPA/CPRA) & OTHER SIMILAR USA STATE PRIVACY LAWS

This page honours the data rights of individuals residing in California, USA and all other US states with similar privacy laws.

It is not a prompt, but a backstage offering—designed with editorial dignity, not legalese.

VOLUNTARY COMPLIANCE & EDITORIAL INTEGRITY

Under California law, businesses must comply with the CCPA and CPRA if they meet any of the following thresholds:

  • Annual gross revenue exceeding $25 million;

  • Handling personal data of 100,000 or more California residents or households;

  • Deriving 50% or more of annual revenue from selling or sharing personal data.

FRETPAL LTD does not meet these thresholds, nor does it engage in data monetisation, behavioural profiling, or sensitive data collection.

Neither does FRETPAL LTD have any physical presence anywhere in the United States of America or have any offices, employees or agents working outside of the United Kingdom.

FRETPAL LTD does not engage in targeted advertising or the behavioural profiling of individuals who live anywhere in the USA.

FRETPAL LTD is therefore not required to display a “Do not sell or share my personal information” or “Limit the use of my sensitive personal information” banner, as it does not meet the criteria for such obligations under the CPRA.

Nonetheless, FRETPAL LTD voluntarily honours the spirit of these laws—not out of obligation, but as an editorial vow of dignity, transparency, and respect.

This backstage offering is extended to residents of California and other U.S. states with similar or emerging privacy protections, ensuring no one is editorially excluded.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ’s):

Because we’re registered and regulated solely under UK and EU GDPR. We don’t have a physical presence, target individuals, or conduct large-scale data processing in other regions. However, we voluntarily comply with all privacy laws with dignity and respect to all our users.

Targeting means tailoring content or services based on behavioural data, location, or inferred preferences. FRETPAL LTD does not engage in such practices

It also means actively marketing to or profiling people in a specific jurisdiction. FRETPAL LTD doesn’t do that. We’re here to empower users, not chase them across borders.

If you request deletion of your personal data—including your email—we’ll honour that request, however, unfortunately it will result in the termination of any registered licence(s) you hold for the FRETPAL application. We will confirm any such action with you before we go ahead and deactivate any licence(s) you hold.

Only what’s necessary to provide your licence and support your experience. We don’t sell, profile, or hoard. If you want to know exactly what we hold, submit a request—we’ll show you – and that’s only what you provide directly—such as your name, email address, and licence details. We do not collect behavioural, biometric, or location data.
